Our Process
How We Work.
Every Old Century Roof project is custom, personal, and built to last a lifetime. Here's what that looks like from start to finish.
- 01
You Reach Out
You submit our project inquiry form. No phone tag, no call center. Your inquiry goes directly to Pete, Kyle, or Pete Sr. (Pops). They will actually be on your roof.
- 02
We Have a Real Conversation
One of us will contact you personally to learn about your project. This isn't a sales call. It's a conversation. We want to understand what you're building, what you care about, and whether we're the right fit for each other. We're interviewing you just as much as you're interviewing us.
- 03
We Come to You
If we're aligned, we schedule a site visit. Pops, Kyle, or Pete will come to your property, walk the roof, listen to your goals, and understand your budget. We don't sell you anything on this visit. We listen.
- 04
You Receive a Custom Proposal
Every Old Century Roof project gets a custom proposal. Not a templated quote pulled from a price sheet. Your proposal will specify the exact system, materials, underlayment, and accessories we recommend for your specific roof, your specific climate zone, and your specific goals. We'll walk you through it personally.
- 05
We Schedule Your Project
Once you approve the proposal, we schedule your project start date. We'll call you before we show up. You'll always know what's happening and when.
- 06
Day One: Demo and Dry-In
On day one, we demo the existing roof and dry the structure in completely. Your home is watertight before we leave. For most re-roofs, this happens in a single day.
- 07
Inspection
For permitted projects, we coordinate the mid-roof inspection with the building department. A quality checkpoint. Not a formality. We welcome it.
- 08
Final Installation
We return to install the finished roofing system. Your crew lead and project manager are on site every day. Ramon, our lead installer with 20+ years of specialty roofing experience, oversees every install.
- 09
Walkthrough and Closeout
When the work is complete, we do a full walkthrough with you. We photograph the finished roof. If anything isn't right, we make it right. No argument, no invoice games.
- 10
The Last Time You'll Hear From Us
Once your final invoice is paid, we send your warranty documentation, certificate of completion, and lien waiver. Then we leave you alone. A good roof shouldn't require follow-up. If we did our job right, the next time you think about your roof is never. That's the goal.
We are selective about who we work with.
The homeowner is choosing us.
We are choosing them.
For Builders & Architects
Building something worth remembering?
We should talk.
Custom builders and architects have different needs than homeowners. You're not shopping for a roof. You're looking for a specialty subcontractor who shows up, performs, and doesn't create problems on your job site. Someone you can hand a spec to and trust it gets built correctly. That's what we do.
We work with custom home builders, architects, and general contractors across Colorado who need specialty roofing (tile, slate, metal, synthetics) installed at a level that matches the quality of the rest of the project. We understand construction schedules, inspection sequences, and what it means to be a good subcontractor. We communicate, we show up, and we don't cut corners because nobody's looking.
If you're a builder or architect working on a project that deserves a permanent roof, we'd like to be your specialty roofing contractor. Send us the plans or reach out directly. We'll take it from there.
