Colorado Statewide · Specialty Permanent Roofing
Built to Last
a Lifetime.
Colorado's specialty roofing contractor. We install permanent systems: tile, slate, metal, synthetics, and solar. Built to outlast the homes they protect.
“Asphalt shingles last 1–2 storms and end up in landfills by the billions of tons. Old Century Roof was built on a different belief: your roof should last as long as your house.”
Hail Claims · Insurance Work
Got a claim?
Use it right.
Insurance is buying you a new roof. That is good news. The question is whether you use it to get back to where you were, or use it to get somewhere better.
If we are replacing like for like (yes, we install asphalt shingles), our bid should be competitive with what insurance is paying for a full replacement.
If you want to put your claim toward something permanent, we price the gap and help you decide if it is worth it. Most homeowners are surprised how small that gap is when you spread it over the life of the roof.
You get a contractor who wants your next roof to be your last one. That is not a sales pitch. That is the whole point.
$25,500
What insurance pays on a 30-square roof at $850/sq. Most contractors replace it with asphalt and pocket the efficiency.
$9,500–$13,000
Approximate out-of-pocket gap to upgrade to stone-coated steel on the same roof. $95–$108/month over 10 years is the payback math on a permanent Class 4 system.
$13,000–$17,000
Approximate out-of-pocket gap to upgrade to synthetic on the same roof. Same permanent result—with better real-world hail absorption than any lab test measures.
↑ Every year
Colorado hail deductibles are rising. Some carriers now write 2-3% of home value as the hail deductible. On a $600,000 home, that is $12,000-$18,000 out of pocket next time. This claim may be the last one that pays the bulk.
Why Old Century Roof
Different by design.
By conviction.
01
Permanent Materials
We install tile, slate, metal, synthetics, and solar. Our specialty is permanent roofing systems. If you're considering an upgrade from asphalt, we'd welcome the conversation and the chance to show you what's possible.
02
Zero Landfill Philosophy
Asphalt shingles are the single largest category of construction waste in America. Every roof we install is designed to outlast the building. That's not marketing. It's the specification.
03
Specialty Installers, Not Storm Chasers
Our crews have 20+ years of specialty roofing experience.
We are the contractors other contractors call when the job demands real expertise.
GCs and architects: if you need a specialty roofing sub who shows up, installs correctly, and does not require hand-holding, that is what we are built for.

04
Built for Colorado
Hail. UV. Freeze-thaw. High-altitude wind. We know Colorado's load profiles and we spec accordingly. Not to a national average.
Permanent Systems
Six roofing systems.
Zero compromise.
Class 4 impact and Class A fire are the highest ratings that exist. Every system below carries both. But the rating is a lab test, not a wildfire or a Colorado hailstorm. Asphalt passes Class 4 and still loses granules, bruises, and shortens its life with every hit. There is no Class 5. There is no Class A+. What there is: materials that are non-combustible, that absorb impact instead of degrading, and that are designed to outlast the building rather than be the building's failure point. That is what we install.

50+ years
Synthetic Roofing
Engineered polymers that outperform asphalt on every metric: weight, impact resistance, lifespan, and warranty. The right choice where tile or metal doesn't fit the streetscape.

40–70 years
Stone-Coated Steel
Class 4 impact resistance with the aesthetic of tile or shake. At 1.4 lbs/sq ft, it's the lightest permanent system we install. Colorado hail's best match.

20–70 years
Metal Roofing
Three metal systems: standing seam (50–70 years), concealed fastener (50–70 years), and exposed fastener / Pro Panel (20–40 years with proper maintenance). All outlast asphalt. We install all three and help you pick the one that matches structure, budget, and design review.

75–100+ years
Tile Roofing
Concrete and clay tile systems engineered for Colorado's freeze-thaw cycles and high-altitude UV. Weight-bearing systems that require specialty structural knowledge.

100–150+ years
Natural Slate
True geological permanence. Natural slate is the benchmark against which all other roofing materials are judged. The oldest still-performing roofs in the world prove it.

Solar-Integrated
Building-integrated photovoltaics replace the roof. Not panels on top of it. The roof and the energy system are one. No penetrations, no secondary maintenance cycle.

Non-combustible options
Tile, slate, and metal don't burn. Class A rated across every system we install.
Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code
Mandatory in all WUI municipalities as of April 1, 2026. We know the requirements.
HB 1182 mitigation discounts
Class A roofing qualifies for mandatory carrier discounts. We provide the documentation.
Eave closures + metal gutters
The details most contractors skip. The details that determine whether your home survives.
